Canine Boarding

Canine boarding patients will be housed in runs, all facing an outside window. They are taken out for walks 3 times daily, in a fenced in yard. Our canine patients are fed Royal Canin GI Low Fat dry food. You may bring your dog’s regular diet if you prefer. We will feed according to your set guidelines. All canine patients are provided a Kuranda bed in their run. We also provide blankets. Please let us know if your dog tears up and/or ingests bedding. You may bring your own bedding/toys if preferred.

• Playtime (one-on-one with the kennel staff)

Requirements for boarding at Van Wyk Veterinary Clinic:

• Proof of current vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella and canine influenza) with a copy of a current, signed rabies certificate
• Proof of a current, negative fecal examination
• Proof of a current, veterinary approved flea/tick medication

We are able to accommodate medication schedules. Please bring medications in their original containers, with written instructions.

Rates:

• Canine boarding: $22/night
• Canine day boarding: $18

Discounts for multi-dog shared run (must be from the same family) and for extended stays

Feline Boarding

Feline boarding patients will be housed in our cat condos, on our second level. Each condo faces an outside window. Our feline patients are fed Royal Canin Sensitive Digestion dry food. You may bring your cat’s regular diet if you prefer. We will feed according to your set guidelines. All feline patients are provided a Kuranda bed in their condo. We also provide blankets. You may bring your own bedding/toys if preferred.

Requirements for boarding at Van Wyk Veterinary Clinic:

• Proof of current vaccinations (rabies, CVR) with a copy of a current, signed rabies certificate
• Proof of a current, negative fecal examination
• Proof of a current, veterinary-approved flea/tick medication

***For the safety of all of our boarding feline patients, proof of a yearly, negative feline leukemia/FIV test will be required to gain access to our feline enrichment center.
